Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner said Daichi Kamada could spend weeks sidelined after coming off during his side's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Palace were forced to rue their missed opportunities as City taught them a lesson in efficient chance conversion.

A double from Erling Haaland and a Phil Foden finish ensured the result for City over Palace who had more chances throughout the game.

Kamada limped off deep in the second half after a challenge with Nico Gonzalez left the Japanese midfielder on his haunches.

Asked about Kamada's injury, Glasner said: "It's the hamstring, so we have to assess him, we have a scan tomorrow."

"It was just an incident, because when he landed he overstretched his knee, that means the hamstring got the full stretch."

"I said to him, jokingly, you have no muscles, you can't have a muscle injury!"

Glasner went on to laud his midfield pairing, with Adam Wharton also performing well.

"I think Adam Wharton and Daichi Kamada played brilliantly today."

"It was a fantastic performance from both players, and not just in defence, but it's not just the physicality."

"Then you win the balls, but what we did then, and they were also in possession, and I remember plenty of chances, which were them trying to play diagonal to the opposite 10 and play one-touch football, and just didn't take the chances."

"Not so often you have more [chances] than we had."
