No-confidence motion in Joburg Mayor Morero set for next week

JOHANNESBURG - The motion of no confidence in Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero is set for next week.

The programming committee has approved the motion in the mayor and also in the Speaker, Nobuhle Mthembu, and the chief whip, Sithembiso Zungu.

The motions on the mayor and the chief whip were filed by the Democratic Alliance (DA) while the one on the Speaker was filed by Al Jama-ah.

DA Johannesburg leader, Belinda Kayser-Echeozonjoku, said the city’s executive had failed the residents of the city.
